Pray for freedom from burdensome debt through stewardship and discipline.

Proverbs 22:7

The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender.

Romans 13:7-8

Therefore give everyone what you owe: if you owe taxes, pay taxes; if customs, then customs; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.

Luke 14:28-30

For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doesn't first sit down and count the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it? Or perhaps, when he has laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, everyone who sees begins to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build, and wasn't able to finish.'

Pray these

  1. Father, give me an honest picture of everything I owe and why.
  2. Forgive and correct patterns of impulsivity, avoidance, or poor planning.
  3. Father, help me create and follow a realistic repayment plan.
  4. Father, increase my income and reduce expenses without compromising integrity or health.
  5. Father, teach me contentment and generosity so that freedom from debt becomes freedom to serve.
