Waiting on God

Pray for the long gap between the promise and the fulfilment

Scripture

Habakkuk 2:2-3

The LORD answered me, “Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he who runs may read it. For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won't prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won't delay.

Isaiah 40:27-31

Why do you say, Jacob, and speak, Israel, “My way is hidden from the LORD, and the justice due me is disregarded by my God?” Haven't you known? Haven't you heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn't faint. He isn't weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall; But those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.

Psalm 27:13-14

I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for the LORD.

Pray these

  1. Lord, I'm tired of waiting and I'm telling You honestly.
  2. Keep me faithful in the gap between what You said and what I see.
  3. Guard me from forcing a door You haven't opened.
  4. Show me what You're doing in me while nothing seems to move.
  5. Renew my strength. I can't manufacture it myself.
